Logo for Jolie's blog, freudian-slip.org. Adapted to various horizontal formats and 404 graphic to work with the Poser Ink A wordpress theme. I also did some other banging-on-templates utility work to bring the theme's expectations and Disqus CSS in line with Jolie's established Wordpress utilization. Go take a look!

HurtHer S. Thompson (aka Jolie) of the Free State Roller Derby Black-Eyed Suzies!

The pose was very much inspired by the works of Alberto Vargas. Borrowed the logo from the FSRD facebook page, and the leopard print texture from happycamper4027.

The knee pads are actual gear (sans manufacturer logo) and while I streamlined the stitching details, the toe caps are also a real thing. I learned quite a bit about Roller Derby in the process of creating this piece!

Update, 20111215 : Title, Basename and post text tweaked. It seems that Derby names must be unique, and Huntress Thompson had already been snagged by not-Jolie.

Jolie: Derby names must be unique, and we must submit them to TwoEvils to get them. She submitted about 2 weeks before I did.

The standout image from the sequence. This or a slight variant was used in Dead City Radio (the comic). A cropped version of this image has been the desktop background on my primary mac for a very long time.
