PISSPOWERASSCHRIST : Reloaded
posted 2011.12.17 at 20:49 | comment
Along with the DCR strip archive, the PISSPOWERASSCHRIST website has been given the 90% treatment. Basic content has been loaded in and templated, bugs have been ironed out, all of the CMS OCD has been worked through.
As with the DCRSA, I still have some work do to before the site's completely complete - in the case of the DCRSA it's a matter of documentation. In the case of PPAC, it's a matter of documentation and weeding through the discography to figure out what, if any, MP3s can be loaded into the site.
So. It's not done - but for the moment, it's done enough.
2011.12.18, 14:15 - Actually, it's done enougher. Both PPAC and the DCRSA have had their extenuating paperwork taken care of, and the strip archive has been linked to from dcr.atc.
Get Out Of Here, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Joystiq - GSC Game World shut down.
RPS - GSC Closure "Confirmed.", Leaked STALKER 2 concept art, On The Importance of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
GSC hasn't updated their english language site in awhile.
Time as a measure of excellence:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Shadow of Chernobyl with the STALKER Complete 2009 mod is my favorite game.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is loosely based on (read: inspired by) Tarkovsky's 1979 film Stalker, which is in turn based on the 1972 Strugatsky brothers novel Roadside Picnic.
See also: CNPP Exclusion Zone, the Chernobyl disaster, Touring the Exclusion Zone (Gallery).
The unofficial website of the city of Pripyat, founded by former residents.
With GSC shuttered and the future of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 uncertain (and bleak), I suppose it's time to get back to work.
Update, 20120112 : Apparently GSC is still open.

Paid October's gas bill the day before I got the November bill, which included October's. Grumbled a bit and paid the amount due rather than deal with Equitable's phone system. End result : one less bill to worry about this month. Score!

On the stoop today : bilingual air mail from Montreal! French Canadian comics!
I've been a fan of Boum's art since I stumbled across her DA page forever ago. It feels pretty nifty to own a piece of it. The book design is pretty spiffy, and she signed it, too! Squee!
